Stornoway on Lewis
Stornoway is the only town of any size on Lewis and serves as the hub for buses, shops, and the ferry to Ullapool. We stayed near the harbor and explored the town before heading south toward Harris.
We rented bicycles and ventured west to the antiquities Lewis is famous for. We also encountered the coldest, windiest, and wettest ride of the trip and returned to Stornoway mildly hypothermic!
